As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist guests and team members with clear, professional communication. You will support access points, document activity using a computer and/or tablet as needed, and represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and team members by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, receiving areas, back-of-house spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control and observing for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential disturbances.
• Communicate professionally with store leadership, Allied Universal management, and local public service responders as needed, supporting incident reporting and follow-up.
