As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with professional customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas, document observations, and communicate concerns promptly. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of neighborhood streets, amenities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Control access at community entry points by verifying authorization, monitoring traffic flow, and assisting with visitor management in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or local public responders as needed.
