As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will drive between assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with store teams and visitors while delivering customer service with professionalism. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and store personnel by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disturbances, potential theft-related activity, medical situations, and fire or alarm activations.
- Assist with access control and traffic flow at entrances, exits, and receiving areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity.
- Complete detailed written reports and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, including incident documentation, patrol findings, and follow-up actions.
