As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist staff and visitors with directions and support, and document activity with clear communication. This is a driving post, so you may operate a vehicle to cover assigned areas and respond to calls for service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with on-site leadership and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas including entrances, parking areas, hallways, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruptive behavior, and report concerns according to post orders.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and irregular activity in written and/or electronic reports and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives as required.
