As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to requests, and deliver standout customer service and communication while using teamwork to address concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Having loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout technology-focused offices, campus areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at designated points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining professional interaction with employees, contractors, and guests.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate status updates via radio, phone, and/or electronic systems to support daily operations.
