As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related issues. You will assist shoppers and store teams with clear communication, report concerns, and support a welcoming experience. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients in a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, common areas, back-of-house spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key activity areas for unusual conditions; report and document observations, incidents, and service requests per site protocol.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and associate activity, reporting suspected theft or policy violations, and preserving facts for follow-up by management and/or law enforcement.
