As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and tenants with a professional, customer-first approach. You will observe and report concerns, communicate clearly with site contacts, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, store employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, suspicious activity, lost and found situations, and/or medical calls, and report conditions to site leadership as required.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, exterior walkways, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
Monitor entrances, corridors, and high-traffic areas, providing visible presence and assisting with directions, escorts, and customer concerns as needed.
Control access to restricted areas such as back-of-house corridors, service rooms, and/or tenant delivery areas in accordance with site policies.
Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in a timely manner, using site reporting tools as directed.
Coordinate with property management, tenant contacts, and local first responders during incidents and/or emergencies, following established procedures and communication protocols.
Support mall operations by observing for policy violations such as loitering, disruptive behavior, and/or prohibited conduct, and taking appropriate action consistent with post orders.
Assist with security-related coverage for special events, peak shopping periods, and/or tenant move-in and move-out activity, as assigned.
Use communication equipment and/or mobile devices to receive assignments, report conditions, and request assistance when needed.
