As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests, tenants, and staff with courteous communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor and report suspicious activity, damaged property, hazards, and/or maintenance issues, and communicate findings to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing directions, assisting with de-escalation, and documenting actions taken.
Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly, and support access control and crowd management as needed during peak shopping hours and special events.
