As a Dispatch Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will support on-site teams by monitoring activity, managing access control and badges, and coordinating responses to security-related incidents using computer-based tools. You will communicate clearly with store partners and guests, document events, and help keep operations running smoothly. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the dispatch function by monitoring radios, phones, and security-related systems, relaying information to on-site personnel, and coordinating responses to routine and critical incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, including tracking officer status, assignments, and key communications.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location, common areas, and perimeter as required by post orders and operational needs.
