You will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor cameras and alarms, document incidents, and communicate clearly with campus partners to help reduce security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Control access at the reception area by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other front desk systems, and report unusual activity or conditions according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs, including incident documentation, visitor activity, and key communications to support continuity across shifts.
