Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and staying visible to promote a secure environment. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture while supporting the daily operations of this dynamic setting.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into logistics and distribution areas.
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures and protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including communication with site management and first responders.
Maintain a visible presence at assigned posts to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance as needed to those on site.
