As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will help monitor entry points by screening visitors, checking credentials, and observing for unusual activity. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service. You will support an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology workplace.
- Screen employees, visitors and deliveries at entry points by conducting bag checks, operating screening equipment as trained and verifying credentials and/or access permissions.
- Monitor access control points and lobby areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, directing guests to the proper check-in process and issuing and/or tracking visitor credentials per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces and the perimeter as assigned, noting irregular conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues per procedure.
