As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and collaborate with your team. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital and/or clinic areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by observing entrances, verifying authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and/or medical-area concerns, and coordinate with site staff as directed.
  • Document and report security-related activities, observations, and incidents using required logs and reporting systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
