Your visible presence and strong customer service skills will support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

Must have required hospital vaccines.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform access control duties at the healthcare location, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for staff, patients, and visitors as appropriate.
Provide customer service by greeting and assisting individuals entering and exiting the premises, while adhering to site-specific policies and procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for any unusual activity.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious behavior to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns according to location protocols.
