Your visible presence and strong customer service skills will support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Must have required hospital vaccines.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform access control duties at the healthcare location, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for staff, patients, and visitors as appropriate.
  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting individuals entering and exiting the premises, while adhering to site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for any unusual activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious behavior to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by the site.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns according to location protocols.
