As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Vaccinations required for hospital environment.
  • Must be able to work in hospital morgue settings.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing knowledge of healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed during incidents and/or emergency response situations.
  • Follow all post orders and directives specific to the healthcare environment, adapting to varying working conditions as required by the site.
