As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the location to support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters and support emergency response efforts.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance and information to those within the healthcare environment.
