As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will patrol healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence will help create a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring regular patrols across the property. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Hospital-required vaccines are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with the maintenance of a secure atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities and/or incidents, documenting findings according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to direct visitors as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as required to support security-related objectives.
  • Remain alert to environmental and/or behavioral changes that could indicate a need for intervention or assistance.
  • Participate in training and ongoing development to stay current with Allied Universal and healthcare-specific security-related procedures.
