As a Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, where you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards encountered during patrols.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site leadership, and local authorities as required.
- Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and/or assisting with visitor management processes.
- Assist in maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
