Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare location.
Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials in accordance with site protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to established procedures.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing directions and general information while maintaining professionalism.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment.
Remain alert to potential security-related risks and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
