As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a government location, you will play a vital role in supporting access control and security-related functions. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling entry points, conducting routine patrols of designated areas, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to inquiries and assisting with access procedures. Requirements

• Possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the location.
• Verify credentials and/or identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters as required.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in daily reports as directed by site protocols.
