As a Dispatch Officer at a government transportation location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor alarms and camera feeds, route officers to calls for service, and document activity with clear, calm communication. You will be a visible part of operations that helps to reduce incidents through timely information sharing and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies at a government transportation location, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
  • Monitor radios, phones, and computer-aided dispatch systems to receive requests for service, prioritize calls, and dispatch patrol and/or response personnel according to established protocols.
  • Document incidents, calls for service, and field activity in required logs and reports, and communicate updates to supervisors and client representatives as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site staff and public agency partners when directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter when assigned, and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
