As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community, you will support access control at entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor check-ins, and maintain accurate activity logs using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and respond to concerns with calm, professional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, property rules, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian entry by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing authorized traffic to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control equipment for unusual activity and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and document observations per site procedures.
