As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support day-to-day screening at key access points, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols throughout assigned areas. You will maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication to team members and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or drivers entering controlled areas by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing traffic flow through designated screening points.
  • Conduct security-related screening of parcels, bags, and/or shipments as required, including visual inspections and use of available screening equipment, and document exceptions per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, staging areas, and the perimeter, and complete required activity logs and reports as assigned.
