Join Allied Universal at a busy chemical and petrochemical location where you will support access control operations, verify credentials, manage badge activity, and help direct authorized visitors and contractors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, and document security-related activity with clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have a state, county, or city issued security license, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs, and coordinating with client contacts for access authorization.
  • Monitor and acknowledge alarms, radios, phones, and access control systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, staging areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, including incident reports and shift activity logs, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions and/or as directed by site procedures.
