As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the welcoming face for all visitors and tenants, providing exceptional customer service while monitoring access and responding to security-related concerns. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter incidents and fosters a secure environment, all while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor access to the building by greeting visitors, verifying identification, and granting entry according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and any security-related incidents.
  • Communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and building management to address questions, provide information, and/or escalate concerns as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including following evacuation procedures and coordinating with emergency personnel when appropriate.
