As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer-focused service. Requirements
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per post orders and communicating clearly with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor identity and/or credentials per site policy, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and other activity in required logs and systems.
- Complete incident reports and routine documentation, report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions, and support a professional environment by providing directions, information, and assistance to employees and visitors.
