You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, and report security-related concerns with clear communication. You will support drivers, associates, and visitors with professional customer service while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and shipping and receiving areas, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and help to maintain orderly entry and exit.
• Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
