As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team while delivering a caring, people-first experience through teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures and performing assigned security-related duties.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and access concerns.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and report unauthorized access attempts to site leadership and/or responding personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, dispatching assistance as directed, and completing required notifications.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and authorized representatives.
