Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and accurate reporting using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor management processes to help support controlled access to clinical and administrative areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and/or facility alarms, and coordinate with staff and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in reports and logs, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
