As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds on foot and/or by vehicle, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors while delivering helpful customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assisting with visitor direction, reporting suspicious behavior, and supporting campus events with presence and crowd guidance as assigned.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with site leadership to address security-related issues and follow post orders.
