About The Position

As a Screener within a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine checks, and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service while supporting access control procedures. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out security-related screening procedures for personnel, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
  • Monitor access points and check identification as required to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site policies.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including evacuations and communications with first responders.
