About The Position

As a Screener within a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine checks, and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service while supporting access control procedures. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related screening procedures for personnel, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
Monitor access points and check identification as required to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site policies.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including evacuations and communications with first responders.
