As an Access Control Officer at an automotive transportation location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity to help support a welcoming, controlled environment. You will conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and use clear communication to assist employees, visitors, and drivers. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at vehicle yard, gates, and/or building entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing traffic flow as needed.
- Monitor entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or property damage, and report irregular activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unsecured doors, damaged fencing, and/or other conditions requiring attention.
