As an Allied Universal Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms and security-related calls, and document activity with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing personnel to approved areas.
  • Screen and/or monitor incoming and outgoing pedestrian and vehicle traffic as required, including checking deliveries, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting first responder operations when requested.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, restricted zones, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
