As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to students, faculty, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, offer exceptional customer service, and foster a welcoming environment. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification, and directing individuals as needed.
Document and communicate all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
Collaborate with campus staff and law enforcement as required to support a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
