Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities include managing access control, assisting with visitor inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. By maintaining a welcoming presence and supporting security-related protocols, you help to deter incidents and contribute to a positive campus environment that reflects our values of integrity, teamwork, and caring.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, faculty, students, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access to the building by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the location.
Assist with visitor management, including maintaining visitor logs, issuing temporary passes, and providing directions or information as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Communicate professionally with all individuals at the location, addressing questions and/or concerns related to security-related matters.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with evacuation procedures if needed.
Maintain awareness of surroundings at the front desk area and help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity through attentive presence.
Document and report any security-related incidents, concerns, or unusual activity according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
