As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment within an educational setting. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to provide outstanding customer service. With a focus on teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach, you will play a key role in supporting a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all at the location.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related procedures.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises, following established protocols.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, staff, and/or students with directions and general inquiries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to support a secure environment within the education setting.
Participate in emergency response activities as directed, supporting the security-related needs of the location.
