As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist customers and store teams with clear communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license under the Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, entrances and/or exits, and exterior areas such as sidewalks and parking lots; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for unusual activity, potential policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, and help to deter theft and other incidents through high-visibility presence and observation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including verbal de-escalation, coordinating with site leadership, and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activity; communicate timely updates to supervisors and client representatives.
