You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to alarms and requests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building interiors, grounds, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and visitor logs, and assist with directing authorized personnel, vendors, and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete timely written reports and document security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and communicate updates during shift handoff.
