As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will make routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document activity as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative approach.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and public areas, help to maintain orderly movement of visitors, and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations per site guidelines.
- Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs with clear, factual details.
