As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, lobbies, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations; help to deter unauthorized access by providing a visible presence and addressing concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting onsite management and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, log patrol findings, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership, property management, and/or authorized site contacts.
