As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile patrols and quick assistance across the site. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with access control processes, and document unusual activity while helping to maintain privacy and confidentiality expectations within the location.
  • Complete required reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, using Allied Universal reporting tools and/or client-directed documentation procedures.
