As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and support loss prevention efforts. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining access control. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location according to established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Maintain detailed records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide assistance and relay important information.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related concerns within the logistics and distribution environment and report observations promptly.
