As a Dispatch Officer at a busy retail location, you will coordinate security-related calls, monitor alarms and cameras, and communicate with on-site teams to help reduce incidents. You will document activity, support access control and badge workflows, and provide professional customer service to associates and guests. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have CPR and/or First Aid, preferred, and it may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and shoppers by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, radios, and phone lines; dispatch officers to incidents and service requests; and/or coordinate responses with mall management and local authorities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering details, prioritizing calls, and relaying accurate information to responding personnel.
  • Complete required reports and logs, including incident documentation, shift activity summaries, and communication records, while maintaining confidentiality of security-related information.
  • Support regular and random patrol coverage by tracking patrol check-ins, communicating post assignments, and helping to identify unusual activity around the business and perimeter.
