Requirements

At least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including both the interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
Communicate clearly with team members, site management, and local authorities as necessary regarding security-related matters.
Maintain accurate and detailed reports of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by site policy.
Support loss prevention efforts by being attentive to potential theft or policy violations within the retail environment.
