You will conduct routine patrols, monitor key areas and entrances, maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures at a technology location.
  • Conduct access control activities such as verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and documenting entries and exits per policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns such as unsecured doors, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and/or other security-related systems, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or responding personnel as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing accurate reports, preserving scene information when appropriate, and coordinating with on-site teams and/or public responders.
