As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and the public, and deliver helpful customer service. Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor entry points, gates, and/or designated areas, verifying credentials and directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site rules.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and local emergency services as directed.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident documentation, and/or patrol logs, and communicate observations and concerns promptly through the chain of command.
