As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, communicate clearly with staff and responders, and document observations in detailed reports. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points, observe for unusual conditions, and report hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant updates to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
