As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff and guests with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an auto dealership setting.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout showrooms, service drive areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle movement, check doors and gates, and observe for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized entry attempts; report issues according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services, and completing required notifications.
  • Document daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and maintenance concerns in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
