As a Screener at a busy cruise operations location, you will help keep people and property protected by conducting security-related screening at entry points, verifying credentials, and supporting bag and/or item inspection. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with guests and crew, and document activity using site technology. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have X Ray screening experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, crew, vendors, and terminal staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
• Perform screening duties at entry points, including operating screening equipment, conducting bag inspections, and using hand-held screening tools as assigned, while maintaining a professional, respectful approach.
• Verify credentials, travel documents, and access authorizations; manage access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, gangway areas, staging zones, and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location and shift.
