As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team, document observations, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Monitor access control points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Document observations, incidents, and shift activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly communicate notable issues to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Support receiving and shipping operations by observing trailer and container areas, noting seal and/or yard conditions when assigned, and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
